BHUTAN

Bhutan issued its first stamps in 1962; between 1955 and 1962 revenue stamps were often used in place of postage stamps. In due course Bhutan issued attention-getters like the world’s first three-dimensional stamps using lenticular printing; followed by relief and sculptural stamps; and stamps printed on silk and on steel foil. Additionally, Bhutan continued to keep interest alive with scented rose stamps and the much talked-about Talking Stamps”. Bhutan is also famous for its miniature records stamp which can be played on a normal gramophone.”
