DUBAI

From 1963 to 1972, Dubai issued its own stamps and postal stationery. When it became a part of the United Arab Emirates on 2 December 1971 the central postal administration was controlled by the UAE. When the UAE began to issue stamps on 1 January 1973 those stamps and all subsequent UAE issues were introduced to the Dubai post office where they were used on a regular basis.
