ITALY 1861-1946
The stamps of the Kingdom of Italy are heavily collected in Italy and elsewhere. They offer endless possibilities of specializing from a purely philatelic standpoint or from a postal history perspective. For those who collect in the traditional form, despite what appear to be high catalogue prices, a standard collection can be formed even by the budget conscious. Caveat emptor: buying cheap is normally a source of headaches as bargains, in the end, will reveal themselves as a bad investment.
