Description
Saint Michael’s Abbey, is a religious complex on Mount Pirchiriano, northern Italy. For much of its history the historic Abbey came under Benedictine rule. The Abbey is officially recognized as the “Symbolic monument of the Piedmont region” — A Maximum Card is a picture postcard (normally about 4″ x 6″) with a postage stamp affixed on the view side cancelled (postmarked) with maximum concordance between elements (depiction on stamp matching the depiction on postcard – or elements of it — with a postmark that is as closely related as possible to what is depicted on stamp and postcard)
